NEW YORK, NY, USA, 2001

This project for a 2500 housing units and associated educational, commercial, social and recreational facilities was undertaken under the sponsorship of the Architectural League and the Economic Development Commission. We sought to leverage the unique relationship of public transportation and beach frontage to create a seaside community of special quality. We also sought to include a series of environmental features - including solar and wind power, bioremediation of waste water, and careful management of run-off - to make this a model of responsible practices.
